Calling all MEN....

to kindly join us on the stage for 'Kindly Leave the Stage'. We are still looking for a man or men to join the cast for this very funny play within a play. So if you are interested in joining in the laughter and are free in October then give us a ring. You can call me in the first instance on 01892 783384.

Congrats to WYTKIDZ!

The Witches was brill - great fun and huge hard work and very impressive. It was great to have David Wood (the play's creator from the Roald Dahl original) in the audience on Saturday night, even better that he came up on the stage at the end and addressed the kids and the audience - and even better that Wendy has persuaded him to be Patron of Wytkidz. He loved the show and had fun with the kids so is looking forward to being involved. A stroke of genius Wendy, well done!

The Witches enters its final week of prep.

Wednesday night - the Commemoration Hall was full of witches trying out their amazing finger nails and wigs, the sound technicians playing with sound effects of every variety, and the props lady racking her brains to think of a source of giant potion bottles, some knitting on 3 needles, a giant door key and a pile of burnt rags (that props lady is me!). The kids know their lines and are well on the way to becoming grandmother, witches, mice and waiters.
First performance is next Friday evening - tickets on sale at the Ironmongers in Wadhurst now. Be prepared to be scared - they are a nasty bunch those witches.

Kindly Leave the Stage

Good fun read thro' on Tuesday evening - seems like lots of potential for audience guffaws in this comedy based on a play within a play. A man hidden in a chest, a drunken Shakespearean actor, a visiting mother-in-law who isn't really and a helpful nurse from the audience make for a plot with lots of twists and turns. Turn out was OK - but a few more men for the auditions next week would certainly not go amiss. Hope to see you at the Methodist Hall next Tuesday 18th May at 7.30.
