Hurrah for the scarecrow builders - who earned a 'Highly commended' for Queenie. I think it was really awarded for the fantastic effort in assembling three scarecrows for the weekend - namely Blackadder, Queenie and Baldrick. A supreme effort!
There were some brilliant scarecrows vying for attention - I particularly liked the Mad Hatter with his giant teapot, Nemo and the Bookshop's Russell. It made for an excellent weekend meeting up with lots of friends and drinking tea and eating cake while listening to the brass band outside the Commem.
And Saturday night left many of us speechless - the Clear Voices choir was breathtaking. Wonderful!!!

Coffee anyone?
Don't forget coffee morning this Sat at Carillon cottage from 10.30-12noon. Although I can't be there (working at Páamo sale at Durgates) - I've just given the coffee bag to John Bush so I know someone will be there and there will be coffee and tea, and he will be lonely and fed up if no-one else turns up!!!!!
